'Green' BA flying empty 'ghost planes' across the Atlantic because it has no cabin crew to staff them.

Each one pumps out thousands of tons of CO2, in some cases almost 70 times the average adult's annual carbon footprint.

The ghost services have been flying between Britain, Canada and the U.S. over the past two weeks.

Yeah, just one more example, probably thousands that we are not aware of, you just have to make as many changes to your lifestyle as you can to reduce the footprint you leave, if we all did it, it would make a difference.
My pet moan at the moment are 4x4s, living in North London, sorry you just do not need one of these things here, not many of them ever go off road apart from driving into a Tesco car park.I am a cyclist so my tolerance levels for 4x4s are very low.

Alan, We can make many changes, but whilst these huge companies do this what chance have we got?

I guess we have our votes and if a Party shows signs that they are making these fools pay for these stupid mistakes, then we can only win the battle.xx

Hi Dawn, yes it is a bit daunting,big business is a hard one to take on. I just think we have to start somewhere, if i recycle my garden waste, plastic,tin can's,paper, it is fairly meaningless but if ten million people do it we are making a big difference and also our kid's are taking notice.Your idea for this site is another positive example,small beginning's, who know's where it might lead.
